Trucker jobs are moving the US everyday

The trucking industry has been booming off and on since the 1930's. The first big boom happened as a result of world War II. America needed more goods moved in America and around the globe. There was a sudden truck application boom and the need for drivers.

Soon the truck logistics business would be a worldwide venture that would employ large amounts of people. Gm launched a worldwide fleet that soon took hold and made truck commerce a staple to most areas around the globe.

Many drivers hit the road every day moving industrial and commercial goods across the country. Truckers and the truck business is the backbone of America and without them much of the globe would be less developed.

Some people see trucking as a negative aspect in our world but there are so many more positives from the truck industry. truck move life saving medical supplies and move goods when disasters strike like Katrina in 2005. Military truckers move whole bases and can be set up in a new area overnight or within days! Truckers also move houses and the good needed to build them.

There are different kinds of truck driving jobs available. You have semi-trucking, dump truck, box rig, logging trucks, construction, mail trucks, garbage trucks, as well as local delivery trucks.

Pretty much every aspect of American life revolves around the transportation industry.Truckers move raw goods (foods), raw Materials (building), chemicals, finished goods, Energy goods, and other much needed freight.

Many companies move the goods they need to build the products they make and use truck to distribute them. They also use the trains, boats, and planes to send and receive needed goods.

Drivers can get to areas that alot of other transportation sources can't! This includes ice truckers that get many needed goods north and log truck that climb in the mountains.

Truck jobs change with trends that happen with commerce. For example-moving gas has been a big business for the truck business. As oil based goods are replaced by other energy sources the need will still be there just in another area. The same goes for logging, as bamboo becomes more popular the need will increase for bamboo truckers.

Truck Driving careers are predicted to be 4.5 million by 2018. In 2008 there were almost 3.4 millions jobs. There are a lot of truck jobs behind the scenes including logistics experts, management, freight-brokers, and sales associates. Marketing experts, webmasters. Mechanics, software developers, and you can't forget truck stop attendants! There are many companies out there that forward applications to many companies.

With tighter regulations and a changing world it is becoming harder on truckers to pay for expenses involved with becoming green. Independent owner operators are having a rough time keeping up with such stupid high gas prices.

It will not be long until many truck companies swap to ethanol-based fuel. As production and technology increases the cost will get cheaper! The companies will save millions and the environment will be such a cleaner place. Plus if will be easier to meet regulations and will mean fewer fines for drivers.

Could you imagine if you were paying half the price for fuel? It would be such a greener and brighter globe in more ways. It is tough times for much of the trucking business as gas prices rise and the economic depression hits harder. Many predict only the top trucking companies will survive through the currently depression. Hang in there driversit will not be long till the prices drop and truckerscan make a living. Let 2010 be a great year for the trucking industry!
