Washington, D.C. - House Democrates allowed the Bush Tax Cuts for the wealthy to expire while voting to keep the tax cuts for those making less than $250,000 per year permanent. The bill needs to pass Senate, as Senate Republicans have been whining about this all week, and will not allow the bill to come to the floor since it fails to protect their wealthy campaign donors.

If the bill were to expire, the average taxpayer in the U.S. earning $50,000 would see an increase of almost $4 per day on their tax withholdings while; those making more than $1 million per year would see and additional $407 per day withheld in taxes from their pay.
Unfortunatly, rumors have it the White House has lost backbone on the issue and planst to once again cave in to the Republicans extending Bush Era Tax cuts costing the nation almost $1 trillion dollars of the next decade.
