Provocation of North Korea? Sinking of the South Korean Warship Cheonan

The warship Cheonan exploded to sink in western area on March 26 when it¡¯s on duty, only 58 of 104 officers survived. Soouth Korean salvagers slavaged the ship¡¯s stern and bow on April 15 and 24, they found 40 remains in the warship. After the incident, the South Korean government says, they will objectively, scientificly, thoroughly find the truth and investigate the related responsibility. On May 20,South Korea published the formal investigation conclusion, all evidence showed the sinking of Cheonan warship is attacked by North Korea torpedoed which is launched by small submarine.
As Cheonan Incident happened£¬many countries responded towards this tragedy.
After Cheonan sinking incident, North Korea media don¡¯t report this accident and don¡¯t express their views. But about the opinion, that connected this incident with North Korea, the North Korean central news agency published military commentators articles represented of North Korea's official position. And they thought this is regrettable "the unfortunate event", but they are strongly unsatisfied with the behaviour that South Korean military and some right-wing conservation connected this accident with North Korea before the truth was found out. What¡¯s more, at the time of the incident, Cheonan was hit by an explosive shock to the outside on the left of the vessel while traveling northwest along the southern coast of Baengnyeong Island. Based on these circumstances, some observers are raising the possibility of a torpedo attack by a North Korean submersible. In this scenario, a vessel waiting out to sea from Baengnyeong Island could have aimed at the lower part of the Cheonan. North Korea possesses weapons such as straight running torpedoes with 150 to 300 kg of TNT and sound-sensitive torpedoes with 100 to 300 kg. During a recent National Assembly question session recently, Defense Minister Kim Tae-young speculated that North Korea possesses bubble jet-type torpedoes that approach a vessel and detonate from a distance. The major weakness with this argument, however, is the fact that no North Korean submersible activity was detected at the time of the incident.
On Council of Foreign Ministers between China and South Korea, May 15, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman-Ma Hanxu answered the journalists¡¯ questions and expressed the situation wasf very complex and sensitive in Korean peninsula,take peace and stability for granted, and focus on the future, stay calm, properly handled the related problem.
Japan Foreign Ministry minister Okada Kastsuya had a conversation with South Korea Foreign Ministry trade business minister Liu Mingheng. Okada Kastsuya expressed very surely about Cheonan Incident they supported South Korea and they should build clesed realationship between Japan and South Korea and with Amrica.
Immediately after the incident Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev urged restraint in order to ¡°avoid the further escalation of tensions on the Korean peninsula¡±. The Kremlin said Mr. Medvedev had accepted Seoul's invitation to send a team of experts to South Korea because he believed ¡°it is of the utmost importance to establish the true cause of the ship's sinking and determine exactly who holds personal responsibility.¡±
On June 14, United Nations Security Council president, Mexico, permanent the United Nations representive Lyle in the UN headquarters in New York, said the United States will seperately have a private coversation with South Korea and North Korea.
