Create a CMS by using WordPress

Although normally regarded as a blogging platform, WordPress can be used as a comprehensive content management system. Like a lot of other CMS it is driven by PHP and MySQL, and being part of the open source project it is always being developed and restructured by lots of developers working on it all over the world. The origins of WordPress date back to 2001. Former editions used to be prone to hacking, but it is now one of the most secure CMS platforms on the Internet.

Blogging
Originally developed as a blog platform, WordPress currently has an enormous amount of plug-ins that can be used to extend its functionality. The assortment of options available has made it one of the largest self-hosted blogging resources in the world; WordPress can be found in use on hundreds of thousands of web sites around the world and viewed by tens of millions of visitors every day.
