What I'm going to share with you below is not something original. Many successful internet businessmen have already said the same thing. But they are so important points to recognize if you want to thrive online. 1. Choose an internet marketing model and stick with it. Most internet marketing beginners suffer from information overload and partly caused by their inability to know what business model to focus on. It is good to broaden your horizons later but not when you are just starting out. You have to begin with only one business model. It doesn't have to be the most profitable model for the reason that you don't have to do that model for the rest of your life. If you're just beginning, it would be mystifying to strive to figure out several models simultaneously. It's better to pick one model that appears "doable" and do not even consider about another model until you have reasonable success with it. 2. Invest in knowledge but be discriminating. After you make a decision on your internet business model, spend on acquiring education but just on resources associated to your business model. It doesn't matter even if an info product is great if it's not related to your business model, you don't need it. If you're tempted to purchase another new information product, ask yourself if you have already used the previous one you purchased. It's regrettable that in this field, a lot of online marketing "gurus" take advantage of the naïveté of beginners. They aggressively peddle their thing even if they are aware that some of those beginners don't need them. 3. Start outsourcing as soon as you can pay for it. The value of outsourcing is now generally recognized by many online businessmen. It's almost unfeasible to develop a business without outsourcing. When you are beginning, it's expected that you do almost all the activities. But when you are already earning, part of your earnings should be re-invested to your business. However, if your family relies a great deal on your internet income which is scarcely enough, maybe it's better to take a job first. 4. Diversify when you've mastered your chosen business model. Diversification gives you confidence in your business. While it's important to stick to one business model at first, it is wise to adapt 2nd and 3rd business later. You'll never know what will come about to your business and if you just depend on one business model, then that's a frightening probability. 5. Never, never give up! Actually, this not a "step". It's something you need to understand at all times. It's almost inevitable to fail in any business when you are beginning. Failure is part of success. Even if you fail on the first attempt, rise up. And even if you keep on failing, keep on attempting. If you persevere enough, success is just a matter of time …
