12 Laws about Wealth

On Sunday, Jan 11, 2008, I spoke in public sharing the following homily about finances. Although I gave the message in Spanish in a Mexican Church, this sermon applies to every person. The rules given here will work for Christians and non-Christians too.

I have translated the preaching from Spanish to English here. These Rules about Sharing uses Luke 6:23 which says "share and it'll be given to you" as a guarantee for Economic achievement. It is more lucky to Give than Receive.

The Scriptures talks more on the matter of money than any other subject including love, eternal life or even redemption.

We just finished the Christmas Season which is a memorial of the excellent present to the World- The Son of God. God Gave His only begotten Son- John 3:16. God himself practices the law of sharing and receiving.

It is more blessed to share than to receive.
Here are 12 Rules About Finances

give Finances to Get Wealth

1. give your tithe to God. A tithe is 10% of your income. Malaquías 3:8-12

2. share a tithe to Yourself (For investments) Save 10% of your earnings for investments

" Invest sensibly- a car is not an investment

3. share your firstfruits to God

" In 2009 I presented all of my first paycheck or income to God
" Firstfruits and offerings are apart from your tithe

4. Be in command of what you spend, spend less than you make

" Do you function well for Money or does Money function well for you?
" Wealth must WORK for you
" Either you be in charge of Money ori t will manage you

5. Multiply (don't borrow)

" obtain interest, dont pay interest
" Stay away from debt, dont borrow money
" Merely say no to credit cards and areas that charge interest

6. Don't Lend

" Dont lend Money or possesions
" Assuming your buddy asks for you to lend him just about anything and you have the wherewithal, give it to him, that's better than lending and you may maintain him as a pal for a lot longer.

7. Be intelligent in your investments

" Dont risk in stuff that you know nothing about
" Assuming you don't know anything about jewelry, don't invest in jewels

8. Own you own home or land

" pay off your mortgage
" don't rent if at all possible

9. Get ready for the future - Put aside Finances, there are always unanticipated expenses

" 10% is God's
" 10% is to Invest
" 10% is for emergencies or unexpected expenses

10. Grow in your abilities through education

" We must always be learning (Reading, Schools and courses, Language classes)
" Less than 10% of the Mexican population do not read with any frequency

11. Don't be partners in business with any person

12. share a tithe of the tithe

Numeros 18: 25

" Churches and apotolates ought share a tithe from the tithes that come in
" Its a good rule for businesses to tithe also
share it all to Christ, tithe with submission and follow these above rules for triumph.
